Sense 2 doesn't have Spotify control

I just bought a Fitbit Sense 2 this morning as my first smartwatch and as the day goes on I am getting more more disappointed with the watch !

How come a product that is meant to be one of the top tier smartwatch on the market doesn't offer basic controls such as changing your music while running, without having to reach for your phone !?

I have done a lot of reading today and I can see that I am not the only one feeling let down ! Any insights on to wether there will be any updates in the (very) near future ?

If not I am seriously considering buying a Samsung Galaxy 5 smartwatch !

Hi @zacapa - as of the end of this month no Fitbits will offer on watch loadable music as this is the new direction they have chosen. So don't expect updates to change this.

if you are unhappy with the watch Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy or possibly authorised dealers too, some stores provide 14 to 30 day refunds.

Thank you for your response. I purchased is From Harvey Norman and they won't accept return/exchange/refund once the box was open. I really feel like I wasted $450.

They surely have their reasons to remove such basics features, however I find it shocking that they didn't warn users, either new or upgrading from previous models which supported those features !

@zacapa - that is certainly not what you expect from a reputable company, insist.

Also try chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support they may help.

I just got in touch with them, I don't have much hope but let's see what they can do or say about it.

To me it looks like Google bought Fitbit in order to gain customer base but they will slowly be killing off the Fitbit product all together, hoping that all their customer will move onto a product such a Pixel which offers all the missing features.

That is a very very regrettable marketing move !

THe Sense 2 has been a big disappointment - other than the increased batery life it is a definite step back.  No way I'll be getting a pixel watch - 18 hours batter life - I dont think so.

Probbaly jump ship to GArmin TBH.

And I thought Google's motto was "Don't be evil"....  Ah sorry no they dropped that some time ago.....

Spotify never was able to load on the watch, the app was simply a remote for the Spotify app on the phone.

I wonder if they are going to remove all remote control from the older watches

Problem solved - I went to the store this morning to return the watch. Although it was open and used briefly, Fitbits are actually easy enough to return. The salesperson told me that heaps of Fitbit Sense and Versa were being returned for these exact same reasons.

Goodbye Fitbit and Google, and Hello Samsung Galaxy watch 5 !
