Sense 2 firmware update just flashing Fitbit logo

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just upgraded from a Versa2 to a Sense2 and am currently getting used to the device now under Google versus Fitbit. Anyone else have any issues under your Google account checking the “check for sense2 update” ? My watch did update the firmware when I first charged and paired with my iPhone Fitbit App, but since that update when I select “check for sense2 update” the Fitbit logo appears and just blinks and nothing else happens? In the past with my versa2 within a few seconds app displayed that my device needed updates, or it was at most current firmware. Customer support today advised I open a discussion in this forum.

Mine just started flashing the logo this morning & so upset! I’m addicted to the step count and hating that I can’t figure out how to reset it so I can continue using it!

Found this info on another Fitbit thread by MaryGail64 and it worked for me! My Fitbit is back up and running!🎉🎉

Press and hold down the side button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off. After the screen turns off, you feel a short vibration, lift your finger off button two second (do not let the logo light pop up )  then immediately press and hold the button again, Wait until the watch vibrates,  lift your finger off the button again for two seconds and press it down once more until you feel one final vibration, then release–this indicates your Fitbit is performing a factory reset. once it is done wait about five mins if it is black that means it worked, tap your watch if nothing shows then press the button, if you see an RED X , check your phone or web page which ever device you keep track of your fitbit watch , you should see a pop wanting to connect with your watch accept it and go from there , everything should start getting redownload and updates.”

This did not work for me at all. Fitbit customer support cannot come up with a solution as well.

For those interested after many attempts to recover my brand new sense2 they authorized only a refurbished replacement so we opted for a full refund. Probably go to the Versa 4 instead. It’s price effective and has most all same features. I never had problems with my Versa 2 and it’s now being charged up and I will use that until we get refund and purchase the Versa 4
