Sense 2 heart rate sensor stopped working

For the past two nights my Sense 2 reports no sleep data. I've noticed that the flashing lights under the watch (wrist facing) have stopped flashing.

I've tried disconnecting the watch from the app, logging out of the app and rebooting the watch to no avail.

Does it need repairing and if so is Fitbit responsible for that or the retailer?

I'd be grateful for some advice.

Thanks for sharing these details, and letting me know what troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry this happened to your Sense 2. As you may know, some features such as sleep stages require heart rate data in order to be generated. I understand the heart rate sensor isn't working and before we can check other options, could you confirm if the issue still persists? Also, do you see any heart rate recorded on the Fitbit app?
