I have received many Afib notifications (41 over 10 weeks and yes I am being checked by my doctor). What is curious is that all of them detect the irregular rhythm for exactly 25 minutes - so for example if it begins at 1:25am it appears to stop at 1:50am. Does anyone know why? Fitbit via chat says they've never heard of this before now.
Moderator edit: clarified subject.

Hi @Bob_Villain.
Perhaps the episodes are in fact lasting longer, but maybe 25 mins is the limit that Fitbit records.
Obviously this is just a guess and I could be completely wrong.

I had the same thought but on chat with Fitbit they didn't recognise that idea and suggested it might be "a coincidence". When I pointed out 41 episodes each lasting exactly 25 minutes was more than a coincidence they'd run out of ideas.

I agree that our theory is more plausible than putting it down to coincidence. Unfortunately a lot of the Fitbit support staff go by whatever support material is available, so if something like this isn't covered they won't know the answer.
There's a good chance they were referencing the user manual (here) or something similar.
