Time is wrong on watch!!!how do I change it

I communicated with fitbit via chat.  The advice was to got to click on the gear icon on the upper top of your phone app.  Click on "App settings." "Time zone." Turn off "Set Automatically."  Click "Time Zone."  Pick a wrong time zone.  Apparently doing that triggers a sync. Several minutes later, the time should change.  Then repeat the procedure and set the correct time zone and wait a few minutes.  I didn't see this procedure in any documentation or online.
