I have a Fitbit Sense 2.
For the past six hours or so, Fitbit is showing Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on my Fitbit.
I live in India, which is GMT+ 5 hours and 30 minutes. I went to Settings on my Fitbit app on my iPhone and checked "DATE & TIME". It shows Location: India; Time Zone: Asia/Kolkata. Both of these are as they should be.
I then clicked Time Zone and it said the 'Set Automatically From your phone' option is 'on', And my iPhone shows the correct Indian Standard Time (IST) which is GMT+ 5 hours and 30 minutes.
How do I get the Fitbit to show IST and not GMT.

Same issue with my Sense 2. The watch suddenly took the wrong time this morning. It is now 3 hours ahead. I have tried everything without success -change time zone, restart the watch, sign out/sign in,...
Could you please advise urgently? It seems to be a global issue, is not it?

The same issue with time and timezone is seen in the UAE. The manual timezone selection doesn't have UAE country listed. This experience today is not one of the greatest. The app lists only 50 countries.

Same issue in Brazil (GMT-3).
Troubleshooting steps:
- Forced sync on Today tab and Devices settings;
- Restarted the device 3x times;
- Turned bluetooth off and back on;
- Factory reset the Fitbit device;
- Changed several clock faces;
- Changed time zone and locale to a different region.
All of the above failed in fixing this problem. It seems a faulty push for Fitbit update that affected all devices. Waiting for a official fix / update.

Same here in Bangkok, Thailand (GMT+7). I did reset for 3 time, but still my Sense 2 show the time 7 hrs behind the mobile.
I also got charge 2 which sync to the same mobile. There is no issue, the time is shown correctly.

I’ve got the same issue in Oman, watch suddenly decided to display a time that is 4 hours behind.
tried syncing, restarting etc. Time zone in date, time, units in settings is correct but location is incorrect and displays UK if on auto recognise location and am unable to select Oman manually as it doesn’t seem to exist.
Tried to contact Fitbit via the contact page, can’t have a call back as Oman doesn’t exist on the country dial code list and live chat just wasn’t connecting.
am hoping this is just a glitch which is being worked on and will be resolved quickly as is incredibly frustrating. I am going away in a couple of days time to a time zone which is on the location list so will see if that makes a difference (different time zone to the one my watch is currently displaying).

I am in Brazil (UTC-3) and the watch took UTC time (local time + 3 hrs).
True that my activity tracking records have been tracked with correct time !
Urgent action from Fitbit is expected as it is very frustrating

I am located in India and I have also been having the same problem with my Sense 2 for the past 6-7 hours. Not yet resolved. At first I thought it is a problem with the clock face - I tried changing it and didn't work. Then I tried restarting the watch several times - still didn't work. Then I tried changing the time zones - the Australian and African time zones seemed to be working properly but Asian and American weren't, which seemed weird. Then I finally reset my watch. Had to through a lot of hustle to reinstall the updates in the watch and still the time's wrong. I noted that the time is at exactly at GMT time zone even if the set time zone in the app is GMT + 5:30.
I think we will have to wait for Fitbit to resolve this issue at their end.

My Sense 2 has started displaying UTC time since this afternoon, though the time zone and location are correctly set on the phone (Pixel 7).
The phone is running on Android 14 with the September 2024 patch. The firmware is updated and so is the Fitbit App. Tried switching to home time zone and location in the Fitbit Settings instead of relying on network time reported by the phone. Tried rebooting both the phone and the watch multiple times. Uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit App. Nothing seems to fix the issue that has arisen by itself.
Has anyone had the same problem? Any suggestions?
