Sense 2 not detectable by the Fitbit app

My sense 2 shutdown unexpectedly. It has been working ok for 18 months. When it restarted all I get is a screen to select the language option. I select English and then a screen describing set up options appears and I can’t get past that. 
I have unpaired from the app. Deleted the app and reinstalled. The app now states no info from the sense2. I have turned Bluetooth off and on. The sense 2 is listed but without the option to select it. 
Can anyone suggest anything to get the Sense 2 working again. The app seems fine.. I think the issue is with the sense 2 device. Thankyou

Hello. I have followed all the steps suggested and the sense 2 device is
still only displaying the “to get started” screen.
The app has sent a message saying it is unable to set up the device.

Tengo el mismo problema, no hay manera que me teléfono “encuentre” el Sense2

I have discovered that even though mine is not a new device. If you add
your existing sense 2 as a new device again you can get it to sync with the
app again.
