Sense 2, phantom runs.

Hi, got a new Sense 2 yesterday and was very pleased with it initially. Then in the evening whilst at my desk, it automatically detected I was on a run. I just stopped the run and thought I must have done something funny to make it happen. However during the night, this happened 5 more times; waking me up and as a result the battery is now very low and I have done 9500 steps in my sleep. Unless anyone knows of a simple cure for this I will have to return it. I have had several fitbits over the years include Sense, Ionics and Charges

Hi @davidb766.

It sounds as though you have auto detect and start for exercise turned on. Follow the steps below, but instead of turning on you will be turning it off. Just to note the the steps below are carried out on the watch.

Hi Nathan, already thought of that and whilst it didn't auto detect a run last night it still thought I did 8500 paces whilst asleep. I'm pretty sure that isn't how it should work? What would happen if I did want it to autodetect activities - I do - the fact is I haven't taken anywhere near like 9000 paces when I am asleep according to my last ten years of data. I also notice that Fitbit says my heart rate seems to peak several times during the night, well since I got the Sense 2, prior to that it's pretty much flat at my resting rate so there must be something wrong with one of sensors or accelerometers. I have a replacement coming, I am comforted by the fact that no one else seems to have had this problem and let's just hope it is a weird one off.
