Sense 2's Altimeter is malfunctioning

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Sense 2 is counting floors I haven't done (sitting at my desk, on my walking pad)
I have reached out to Twitter/X support and have reset my device multiple times. I have tried calling and the live chat multiple times to be hung up on or get no answer. I'm really frustrated at this point. I'd like a replacement device.

Hi @azshara @imadigan - if the watch pressure sensor develops a fault you may measure an excessive number if floors or not at all.

If this continues after a restart and a factory reset it indicates a watch fault.

While the floor count might be wrong it has no effect on any other measurements and can be ignored if out if warranty, or replaced during warranty if it is important for you, but you may be without a watch during the replacement process and the refurbished one may have other issues.

That is what's happening. My warranty is up at the end of the month, and I still have my previous charge 3 watch if I really need it.

"If this continues after a restart and a factory reset it indicates a watch fault."

Yes, and support on X says that the team is working on solving the issue and a replacement will not fix my problem. I don't know how they're going to fix what is clearly a hardware fault on my device, but I have a feeling there won't be a bunch of techs working on my device at my house.

"or replaced during warranty if it is important for you"

I've been a Fitbit owner since the Charge HR came out. This is my first post on here. It is clearly important enough for me to make a complaint about it. The altimeter was why I went with the Sense 2 over the Charge 5.

@RebeccaFitbit tagging you since you're the unlucky person whose handle I remember, can I get an RMA please?

@azshara - You can always chat via the Fitbit App, Help & support section, Contact Customer support and should be able to get a replacement for the watch which is specific to your watch and a few others. If you are on firmware 194.86 floors should work correctly.

As stated in my first post, all attempts at getting help from customer service have been unsuccessful, except for on X. I've called and done the live chat to get no answer or hung up on.

I would like to RMA this device, and the period for that ends soon. @MarreFitbit I saw you active on another thread, can you assist?
