Sense 2 screen edge wearing off

The silver edging around the screen of my sense 2 is wearing off. I have just been wearing it normally, nothing abrasive has been rubbing on the screen and it doesn’t get wet.

I have only had the watch a few months and it looks very unsightly.

I am also concerned that these silver strips could be part of the watches sensors.

Does anyone have any advice on how to resolve this. I would like to claim under warranty but it doesn’t seem to be made easy to find the right information.
