My sensors at the back of my watch both fell off. I tried to contact Fitbit support about this a few months ago and was met with a very hostile customer service agent who refused to do anything about it because I was just outside of the warranty period.
This is a VERY common issue and is clearly a manufacturing fault so no, I do not care that the warranty period is over. At the very least, they should make this spare part available to replace but that would mean acknowledging that they KNOW they’re making bad watches.
It is shameful behaviour for Fitbit/Google to just ignore it, refuse to acknowledge this flaw and just leave users in the cold if they are outside the warranty period. It is illogical and daft to buy a Fitbit every year. If I have to buy a $300 watch annually because it is most certainly going to fail, it makes more sense for me to get an 🍏 watch. As a Fitbit user of many, many years, I’m extremely disappointed at the poor quality and corporate behaviour. This is why this unit goes on sale at half price so often. They KNOW it is faulty.
PS: I have never showered or swam with my Sense 2. Even normal sweating will dislodge those sensors eventually.
