About one month ago, my Sense 2 began underestimating the amount of sleep I am getting every night. It will report 1.5 to 3 hours of sleeplessness when I know I was sleeping. I was due for a new device, so I replaced it. The same thing is happening with the new one. I just noticed on my Weekly Progress Report that I had an average of 7 hrs 30 min of sleep the last week which seems about right. When I add up my daily numbers on the Fitbit app, it averages 6 hrs 15 min. Any ideas?

After having Fitbit, including Premium upgrade for over a decade, I called it quits in March 2025 and moved over to Apple Watch. It wasn’t an easy decision but I have not looked back since and can’t believe the accuracy on all levels. It does require the health app to funnel data but the data is vast and there always!!!

A warm welcome to the community forums @Danrae.
Thank you for sharing the inquiry regarding the sleep detection on your Sense 2.
Please take a look at the points listed below to get better results from your device's sleep detection.
If you haven't done so already, please follow the steps listed here below:
In addition, please wear your device on your non-dominant hand and monitor it for the next few days.

I'm having the same issue. I've read so many posts of people having issues with the sleep part. Are you sure at this point it's not a design issue?
I've gone through every step you guys have listed in the different posts and nothing works.
Restart, band is snug, every different sleep position I can do. It will either say I got 1-3 hours of sleep or it tells me to wear my fitbit when I sleep like I don't wear it 24 hours a day.
Is there any other fix? These watches aren't cheap. I thought about upgrading but not if the same issue is going to happen.

I'm about to do the same as the fix provided by the moderator did not work. I've told myself for 15 years that I love my Fitbit and did not need an Apple Watch. That has now changed. Google is obviously no longer providing adequate support for the Fitbit products.
