Sense 2 watch shows flashing Fitbit logo, then Red X

Had my Sense 2 watch for 2 years. Just 2 days ago, it suddenly started showing a flashing Fitbit logo, followed by a red X. After this, the screen goes blank, then shows the Fitbit logo, and returns to the normal screen display. Some time later, the whole process repeats; it can be minutes and sometimes hours between this problematic display. The watch otherwise appears to behave normally and records both steps and sleep correctly.

Hi there @gdavej! A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Thank you so much for reporting this situation and for all the details provided.

I suggest you try to do the following:

  • Sync your Sense 2 in the Fitbit app. From the Today tab, tap the devices icon and then your device and then Sync Now.
  • If Sync Now doesn’t show an update banner, tap the devices icon and then your device and then Gallery. The app should show a pop up to install the missing apps and recover the device.
  • Restart your watch: press and hold the button for 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on the screen, and then release the button.

Mine is doing the same thing.  I have tried a Factory Reset on the Sense 2 and a removal and reinstall of the FitBit App on my phone.

This cycle is particularly annoying when sleeping as it vibrates when it starts the cycle.   I am almost certain that this is the result of a faulty update.

I'm going to use a different tracker that does not annoy the living daylights out of me.  I wish that the customer support was more human.
