Sense 2 with a big red X, fast battery drain and shutdown

ANSWERED

Hello,

we have two sense 2 which are 1 y 6 m old. Both have the same problem like many other users here, which make the sense not usable anymore. I tried to do the factory reset and than the latest update, but the battery is still drained after few hours but mostly it shutdown before and the death X mark appears.

It concerns me that in the other posts it always is said to discuss this topic further privately and that there is still no open information how to solve it, the problem is more than 2 months old...

Hope that the watch can be repaired because we still have the 2 year warranty and we want a full repair or exchange.

Best regards

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @F.Knoth. I'm sorry to hear that your Sense 2 battery drains fast and shows a red x on the screen. Thank you for mentioning that you tried a factory reset and the latest update. I'll be happy to assist.

  • Sync your watch in the Fitbit app. From the Today tab, tap the devices icon > Sense 2 > Sync Now.
  • If Sync Now doesn’t show an update banner,  tap the devices icon > Sense 2 > GalleryThe app should show a pop up to install the missing apps and recover the device.
  • Restart your device with the instructions of: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  • Confirm that you've tried the manual factory reset with these steps:
    1. Press and hold the device's button until the screen turns off, then begins to flash.
    2. When the screen begins to flash, release the button and immediately press and hold the button again.
    3. Wait for the Fitbit logo to appear. Once the logo disappears and the screen begins to flash again, release the button, then press and hold the button again.
    4. When the Fitbit logo appears, release the button, then wait for the watch to complete the factory reset.
  • If the battery keeps draining, please follow the instructions from this help article: Extend your Fitbit device's battery life.
