Sense 2 with syncing issuses on steps

When I sync my phone app from  "Today" the steps update and sync however when I look on my steps for the day, week.month and year they don't sync. The steps for the day are out of sync and at midnight the lower of the 2 (Today steps vs Steps for day) is my total steps for the day. Why are the stepsis not the same at sync?  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
