Sense2 active zone minutes too low

I just purchased a sense2 to replace my inspire 2 because I wanted floors climbed and a screen I could read outside. When I wore it for my usual workouts- a strenuous hike and 2 hours of a sport, which usually has me in fat-burning and cardio mode with over 100 zone minutes a day, I got 45 zone minutes with an average heart rate of 90 with each workout. Obviously the problem is the HR reading but how do I fix this? Is it the bigger watch size that prevents good contact with my skin? The inspire is small and oblong compared to the larger square sense2. I wear it the same tightness in the same place.

Since I replaced my Versa with a Sense 2 I have found it should not be relied on for accurate HR, walking distance, or floors count - especially since the last update, which caused my floor count to skyrocket, often exceeding 10 floors before I wake up.

it gives time and does a pretty good job on step count.  I will not buy another one.
