There's a thing about a watch that "smart" watches seem to have forgotten. People wear watches to check the date & time. That's right. DATE & TIME.
Most of the time, when I look at my watch I want to see what time it is. That's all. Just the stinking time. Or maybe the date.
But with my Sense 2, that's almost never what happens. Nope. Instead of seeing the time when I lift my arm I get to see my step count. Or my heart rate. Or my sleep score - which is usually just a dashed line because for some reason my watch and my Fitbit app don't sync on their own. I have to initiate the sync process which is just annoying. But I digress. I want to see the time when I look at my watch. If I need an update on my step count, I have no problem mashing a button to cycle through to that screen. Beats per minute too. I'll just swipe the screen and look for it.

So, how for the love of God, can I set this thing to always and every freaking time show me the time & date screen?

Hi @JRDean - firstly pull down on the watch face to get to Quick Settings and make sure that all icons are off. Then when you raise your wrist it will come on naturally.

Then in the Fitbit App, click profile photo, device photo and Gallery tile and select or download a clock face that meets your needs.

If you can't find one start here which has date and time Digital or Analog.

Thanks Guy_
I appreciate your response. Unfortunately, unless I’m mistaken, these tips don’t actually address the problem as I have described it.
Before I posted my question I searched the threads and I did a little googling. Other people seem to be asking the same question but the responses don’t speak to the solution.
For example: A user asked “how do I make my clock stay on?” That looks like the question I’m asking. But the response is a video showing how to turn the ‘Always On’ feature on. That doesn’t help.
Following your advice I confirmed that all of my quick settings are off. When I raise my arm the screen lights up. (Not always, but usually.) Sometimes it takes a little convincing.
I have set a clock face that I like. So that’s not the issue.
The issue is that most of the time I raise my arm to look at the time and I see one of either the weather, my steps, my beats per minute, etc. To see the time, I have to either swipe or tap the screen to make it cycle back through to the clock face. I want the clock face to be the default, and I can not find anything in the settings to make this happen.

Thanks again for your input.

@JRDean  - thanks, you can try restarting the watch but it seems that you are actioning a swipe (with a sleeve perhaps) when you raise your hand.

If you can't get it to work as it should think about replacing it under warranty. Due to potentially an over sensitive screen.

You can always chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support.

@JRDean ok I did a little testing, it seems when I raise my arm, the last screen I looked at is displayed. I don't see a setting to change this. I've never noticed this issue.

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, you are the first person I've seen mention this. I haven't tried searching, but if I did, you would still be the first

On the watch, swipe down. Tap the clock, this enables always on. A feature I find a battery hog and useless. You may want to set up a sleep schedule, enable sleep mode and the Always on display will turn off while sleeping

The non clock face view has a timeout of about 2 minutes and will revert to the clock face automatically.

This is to enable to continue viewing the current face if you are doing something and the display blanks.
