The time on my Sense 2 won't update

  • Can someone tell me what to do to have the time on my watch the same as on my phone.  I have 3 to 4 mins difference between the two and since I am syncing with my phone, I think that they should be at the same time?

Hi there, @JP1956-2 @SueH56. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Sense 2.

In addition to the steps you've done, please try the following in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Sense 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Sense 2.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Sense 2.
  • Once your Sense 2 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Sense 2 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

HI,

I can't believe what you are asking me to do and I guess you can delete my
post completely as I will not unpair the devices that I have already paired
on my phone.

I spent over $300.00 for a watch which can't sync time with my device
without me having to go through hoops like you are suggesting. Thanks but
no thanks...I guess choosing a fitbit watch was a mistake. I never had
this issue with my Polar V800 watch and I should have been more careful
with my choice.

Regards,
JP

Usually signing out of Fitbit and then back in works for me, as it forces a sync.

Side note: is the Time Zone set correctly for the account? That's what the device is tied to, not the phone itself.

Hi DQD - I have logged out and back in, reset the watch by holding the side button for 10 sec until you see the Fitbit logo.  Try resyncing and same problem...Still 4mins behind.  And, as far as time zone....I don't think that there is a place in the world which is 4 mins different 🙂 I could be wrong.

Thanks

JP
