I have recently “upgraded” from a Versa 4 to the Sense 2. I use the term upgrade lightly. Unlike the Versa which actually has an alarm I can hear and detectable vibration, the Sense 2 is a flat-out failure in both categories. What is the point of notification alerts, if they cannot be heard or felt? I have combed this forum, and You Tube for tips and tricks to adjust the app or the tracker but have run into a brick wall.
I have read that others have duplicated my experience with the Sense 2, as well as many who have concluded that Google is not interested in repairing a rather inconvenient flaw. I was very sorry when Google absorbed Fitbit and had an inkling that customer satisfaction might not be at the top of their “to do” list. The Sense 2 is now over 3 yrs old and I also read that both the Sense and Versa lines are being dropped—There will be no 3 and 5 respectively. So sad, too bad.
Unless someone here can share words of good cheer and give me a miracle solution, the Sense 2 is going back to QVC next week, and I’ll set up the Versa 4 again, and drive it till the wheels fall off. At least I’ll be notified. Seriously, can anyone help me with this? Remmie

Have you checked the vibration strength? From clock face, press left button to get to all apps. Scroll to Settings and tap that. Scroll to Vibration & Audio to get choice of light or strong for vibration.
I've used Sense 2 for several years and had no problems with alarm.

Hi and thanks for answering. Yes, I have tried your solution, even switching between the light and strong settings. Believe me, I have explored every little app, every control on both the Fitbit app and the watch. I’m not new to either. All my previous Versas have operated flawlessly. I’m baffled.

Hi @RemmieinParis - the original Versa, and even the Versa 2, had much stronger vibrations but you should be able to feel it even so.
It wouldn't hurt to get a refund and try a new Sense 2, there shouldn't be any difference between the Versa 4 and the Sense 2 for vibration level, though the extra metal strips (that sometimes fall off) may physically make a slight difference and it could depend how tightly you wear it.
The weak vibration can get worse as the battery level falls on either Sense 2, or Versa 4 as you may have noticed.

Thanks, Guy. I have considered or encountered your information in my “research.” Really appreciate your putting all those thoughts together for me. I finally decided to return the Sense to QVC, but waffled back and forth as to whether a refund or an exchange was the better option. In the end, I returned the Sense for a refund and have returned to using a Versa 4 which I can both feel and hear. Maybe my Sense was a lemon, or maybe it just ain’t what it used to be. With luck there will be some decent options by the time my Versa runs out of gas, or I tire of it. Remmie 😊
