Why do they kill the mp3 support?

Last week I bought a new Fitbit Sense because I wanted to get rid of my phone while running and I read, that music playback on the Sense 2 isn't working yet.
So I configured everything and wanted to put music on it for my first run, just to read that it is not possible anymore since 13th october 2022 and i am very unhappy with that.

I wanted to leave the phone at home and listen to some mp3 songs so how can Fitbit disable a feature that is so important for a workout? I know that Deezer is working and some other random service but i want to get my own music or at least my Spotify to work with it offline.

Are there any plans to put that feature back? Or is there a workaround?

The Sense 2 has less features than the original Sense. I doubt they will add that feature, or any of the features they deleted, back at a future date.

@Sir_Robert we don't know why (but we can guess). The custom mp3 support was being removed for quite a while. All the new devices (Sense, Sense 2, Versa 3, Versa 4 (not sure about Versa 2)) lost that feature. It means, for over 2 years no device was released allowing users store own mp3 files. Ionic has been recalled and I believe, the only device which still supports it is old (and discontinued) Versa. Yet last year, the support for uploading MP3 files has been discontinued, too (the PC software) so even Versa owners are unable now to upload music onto the watch. So it isn't something new, we could see the direction Fitbit took for quite a while and expecting the music storage to be back is like waiting for piga to fly. The surprising decision of 2022 was removing a music support on recent models entirely (no Deezer or Pandora, no music controls, etc.). That only tells us that with next models to come, we should rather expect less than more in that matter. If you need a watch capable of storing user's music then you need to look somewhere else.
