Why is new Sense 2 manufacturer date 2022?

I started having apparently common multiple problems with my first Sense 2. No charge, no sync, Phone didn't communicate with Fitbit, etc. INternet revealed many people had similar problems, and said Fitbits only last a couple years. Is that true?

Was going to get a new battery, but people said wasn't worth the effort. Is that true?

Didn't understand whole Google thing, so didn't do anything. Did that cause problem(s)?

Don't do Cloud. Is that a problem?

Don't do apps except necessary ones. I have double vision when I get tired without prism glasses, and app icons on cell phone screen all run together.

Online reviews said Sense 2 is still best health watch. I want watch for heart monitor and sleep monitor, so bought a second Sense 2 from Amazon with old Ionic refund money. New Sense 2 manufacture date is 2022.

Should I have gotten a newer Sense 2 with a newer battery? Should I contact Amazon and ask for a newer Sense 2?

Last, what does the LABELS blank to the right of SUBJECT mean?

I just opened a NEW Fitbit account, so will see if my new watch works with my newly revised account.

For now, should I return my new old watch to Amazon?

I'll probably be back to the Forum with my account and sync questions.

Hi @RushinZoi.  I have personal thoughts about how Fitbit manages production since it tends to release models on a two year cycle.  The Versa/Sense series are the Blaze upgrades.  I believe that Fitbit orders as many pieces as it expects to sell at the start of the model.  Fitbit sells several color combinations.  I noticed that those color combinations aren't replaced in the Store once they sell out.  There are exceptions.  So I think that all Sense 2 devices were made in 2022.  IMO, there is no 'newer' Sense 2.
