Did you mean:

Will the watch not log an exercise until you have pressed done?

It seems that unless you go through the cumbersome process of pressing END and then scrolling all the way down to DONE, the system does not end the exercise and it's not logged.

Quite apart from it being natural to forget, even if you remember, why can't they have a shortcut to end, eg by pressing the button twice or three times or something?

And just as it auto-detects an exercise should it not auto-detect its end? If you go from multiple steps a minute and high heart beat to sitting down, should that not be a sign the exercise has ended?  At least a vibration to remind you would be nice.

You see all these special, particular requests, and this basic issue seems unaddressed. Am I missing something?

@Dab-123   Please check the settings for individual shortcuts.  Some, but not all have an Auto-stop setting available.

Well, I did check the settings on Sense 2 and I did not see any for auto-stop. If someone knows the Sense 2 has it, it would be helpful to know where. Thanks.

@Dab-123  I know that it’s available for the Run and Walk shortcuts.

But if you know, why dont you say where? It feels like  people with thousands of comments, ie regulars, come to shut down legitimate concerns.

@Dab-123  Here is the path for the Run shortcut:

  • Short press the button, the select and open the Exercise app
  • Tap on Run
  • Swipe up on the tiny "^" at the bottom of the screen to get to the Run settings
  • Swipe up to Auto-stop and toggle it on
  • Your Sense 2 is supposed to end your run 10 minutes after it senses that you stopped running

I know from personal experience that Auto-stop is available for Walk and Run.  It isn't available on all shortcuts, though.

Thanks. It was actually already selected.  But

1/ It does not always work, today it did after I checked the settings to find it selected, it has never done so before--the walk is still active even an hour after if I don't click End and Done

2/ Even though it is supposed to stop 10 minutes after you stop walking, the log actually includes the whole time, eg if you walked 20 min, it says you did 30. This of course completely destroys your pace record and the other stats. Since it knows when you stopped walking, it should end the log at that point. This again should just be a few lines of code.

3/ Original point remains, you should be able to press the button twice or 3 times or something to manually end the exercise in any case
