Would you buy an extended warranty for Sense 2?

Hi there! I keep seeing that people have issues with fitbit after a few years. Wondering if it's worth it to buy a fitbit extended warranty for 3 years with ascurion on amazon? Do people usually purchase them? I figured in a few years if there are issues there would be new technology/better sensors so wasn't sure if it was worth it.

" If we can’t repair it, we’ll send you an Amazon.com Gift Card for the purchase price of your covered product or replace it" If you can chose between gift card or a replacement I would go for it. If it malfunctions, you can use the gift card to buy a newer Fitbit...

Hi @FitAds, If you haven’t purchased the extend warranty and still can, I would do it!  My last three devices all died or malfunctioned shortly after their warranty expired.  All Fitbit would offer me was 35% off another device. Amazon’s extended warranty is a great deal and will give you peace of mind when you need it.

Hi @FitAds - it also depends on which country you live as to how long the warranty is and also what you do with the watch.

In some countries the standard warranty is 2 or even 3 years to start with.

Technology moves quite quickly in that time so you may want a later model by then if it breaks down.

If your standard warranty is only one year, it comes down to how you use it largely.

Once it's working if you don't get it wet and don't do any firmware updates or factory resets or make major usage changes outside warranty it should last way past the warranty.

The old adage of if it ain't broke don't fix it applies. This includes not changing the Fitbit App if it is working. Any problems will be elsewhere and not the watch or app.

If you do run into problems don't do the troubleshooting without knowing which steps to do and what it will fix, because that's a recipe for making things worse.

Then you may be annoyed by how long it lasts!

My Versa original is over 2 and a half years old and still gets a full battery life and performs well.
