Doing the exact same routine for over a week now and zone minutes have gone from double to triple normal target numbers for years to less than 10 a day since firmware update. App and Sense both restarted multiple times

Hi @crk2Pnw, welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!
Let me help you undertand how your active minutes are counted.
Depending on what zone you are working out, you will earn active zone minutes. To help you maximize your time, you earn 2 Active Zone Minutes for each minute you’re in the vigorous or peak zones.
For more information about this topic i zould suggest that you take a look at our help article What are Active Zone Minutes or active minutes on my Fitbit device?
You may empathize your research in the topics "How do I earn Active Zone Minutes?", "Why did I earn more Active Zone Minutes than my workout time?"

I understand how the zone minutes work. I've done the exact same workouts for years and active zone minutes were always consistent until the recent firmware update. Now my zone minutes are non-existent even with the same intense workouts that recorded properly prior to firmware update.

Same issue. Display shows lower heart rate no zone minutes. Heart rate trend shows increase heart rate. So demotivating

I have the exact same issue - I used to get a lot of zone minutes but barely get 10 and my workouts are the same. I keep getting the message that I'm in danger of under-training and nothing has changed except the firmware update. As a for instance, I used to get 90 - 120 zone minutes and the same workout today I received 6. Last years average was 124 minutes per day, in 2023 I received an average of 144, in 2022 I received 136, and this year the average in January was 122, February 130, updated the watch at some point (don't remember the exact day) March 95, April 28. I think the watch is fine but whatever happened in the update really changed everything.

Same here. My active zone minutes have been insanely high for quite a while just for a half hour walk getting grocery shopping. Now they are practically non existent. I did 8,000 steps walk today and got 7. I work in social care and on my feet all day. Usually average 40 zone minutes a day. Lately they shot up to 70 plus. This week I’ve been getting less than 10 each day. So confusing. I’ve no idea if the zone minutes were being calculated too high before or being calculated too low now.
