So I have a Fitbit Sense which I bought after using a Charge for a couple years. I wouldn’t ever recommend Fitbit to anyone anymore. If you still have a choice don’t buy anything from Fitbit. They don’t get better. It gets worse.
I’m eligible for the $50 discount, which they provide for limiting the battery so it doesn’t explode. Which is a huge red flag by itself, however actually getting a refund from Fitbit is near impossible to do.
I tried to make an account on Payoneer and believe me when I say it is one of the most horrible user experiences I have had and I am a UX designer. After creating my account it wasn’t possible to provide verification information so I contacted support and they told me to create the account again. I did and it was still asking for even more unnecessary information. So I contacted support again and they said the account would be verified even without providing that information but when I didn’t, it was suspended. So I contacted support again and the person told me that’s just the way it is and closed the chat without telling me what type of info I can provide. Email support takes days. This whole thing took over a month!
And this is the platform they want you to use. The only platform. That’s not fair, Google. My wallet is on my **ahem** watch. You have all the information already. I have a PayPal account. No. They make it impossible because they don’t want to give it to you. That’s the deal.
On top of that, I stopped receiving notifications, gone through all the steps for troubleshooting with Fitbit support, nothing fixed the issue. Never got the EKG functionality for which I initially bought the watch, it isn’t available in Bulgaria, even though it’s already available in the rest of the European Union.
This is one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a product in years and I will never be recommending Fitbit to anyone anymore. I used to and I feel bad for it now. I feel absolutely cheated.
I want to purposefully throw my Sense into the sea, so it bears the same accidental fate as the ol Charge.
