Despite multiple resets of my device and repeated threats on the community since the middle of last year, there still seems to be an issue with the heart rate reading when exercising using a Fitbit sense.
I have never had a watch read so inaccurately, telling me I am in the low zone or fat burn when I am in fact at the high end of cardio or sometimes even in peak. I am totally fed up with this and to be honest, find it incredibly disheartening and demotivating during a workout. The qualities I would imagine are the exact opposite of what Fit Bit would want us to feel when wearing their devices.
I have spoken to help numerous times and reset the device numerous times with no luck and no changes.
What is going on!? Why is this still a known issue yet not being resolved? What are you doing Fit Bit to get this sorted and even more importantly, find a workaround in the meantime for all the sense customers ?!

Simply put they don't care.

For almost a month I tested different positions on the wrist and the tightness of the band and ...
It's a waste of time and nerves, today I reported the return, tomorrow I am going to send back. I like the Sense very much, it meets my requirements for the balance of sporting and smart functions perfectly, hiding detailed data behind a premium wall is a big disadvantage, but I would have to accept it, if the pulse measurement during training was more accurate, but unfortunately for sports this watch is not suitable at all.

I've been meaning to post about this for a while now. I actually have gym sessions at a hospital in a rehab gym and I can measure my heartrate with a hospital spo2 meter. Last time I was in I used it to measure my heartrate when I was reading low during some resistance.
I will say that it seems to be accurate if I'm on the stationary bike, what seems to make it inaccurate is any movement on the arm I'm wearing the watch on. And sometimes what seems to happen is when it reads it low, it gets stuck reading it low and won't resync until my heartrate goes back down again.
This is my gym session, it was from 1pm to 2pm. At no point during this gym session did I take any brakes, and I doubt it would be very healthy if my heartrate was jumping around as drastically as demonstrated here sometimes.
With that first big drop that got stuck low for a while I started to take some readings when I'd notice it dropping. First one at about 1:30 pm when I was doing steps with weights in my hands, my watch was showing 110bpm but the hospital spo2 meter showed it to be 160.
at 1:35 I saw it was still low, showing 112 bpm, and measured with the hospital equipment at 168.
then at 1:51 I was doing squats, my watch showed my heartrate at only 93, the hospital meter showed it at 176.
This is ridiculous. It's not just inaccurate, it's dangerously wrong. This along with a bunch of other issues that still haven't been addressed (won't show overnight spo2 readings the day after in the app, even though they show up on the watch face, logging weight or drinking water on my watch was still broken last time I tried and reported it) Unless this stuff gets fixed, this will be my last fitbit device.

From 6:30 am till 7:15 my sense was off my wrist in a bag during my am commute and it still registered and recorded a heart rate. It also counted 2200+ steps. This was verified 4 additional times with the Sense in a bag during my commutes.

I thought it was just me! Wish I had never spent this much money on it! My old one was much more accurate!

Customer service says they are aware of the issue. Basically the heart rate tracking is terrible for exercising. Only had watch for 3 months and fitbit will not do anything. I doubt it ever gets fixed. False advertising if you ask me.
