After almost two years of continuous usage my Sense all of sudden died..

A couple of days ago when I picked up my Sense from the charger I felt it very hot -- tried to turn on its screen with no avail. Tried to hard reset it by pressing the side button for 10+ seconds with no visible results.

So I ended up letting it discharge completely. The next day I put it on the charger again -- screen remained black unresponsive for a while, but after a couple of hours it came back to life... since by then I already switched to the "backup" Charge 5 I had around I figured let's try to reset it (through Settings -> About -> Factory Reset) and see if it's stable: it started rebooting and then went in a constant vibrating state, only stopped once it fully discharged again.

Tried to recharge it again with mixed results -- often remains stuck on the fitbit logo, at times it gets to the clock screen but after a couple of taps becomes unresive again, etc.

Any idea what else I could try in the attempt to revive it?

Hi @adriano72 - if it got hot when charging there is internal damage, possibly from water getting in.

It may dry out eventually [especially in a bag of rice for some days] but you won't know what damage was done, the battery may not last very long or work reliably. Do not charge it if it gets hot, it's dangerous. Wait and see the extent of the damage.

Warranty is 1 to 2 years depending on country law.

Thank you -- that makes sense. I go often in the pool so I guess over time some water leaked in. I'll try your suggestion to let it dry for some time and see if it gets back to life.
