App and Sense disagree on battery charge

G'Day,

I discovered a post from 2020 that explained why my Sense couldn't connect to my 5G Wi-Fi for setup but did not want to disconnect all my connected devices to change it to 2.4G so I used Bluetooth instead.

The app showed that it was happily setting up my device via Bluetooth, even though my device was only 57% charged.

Then the app stopped working because it said my device had low battery.

Thinking I hadn't connected the charger correctly (or forgot to turn it on) I checked the device and it assured me it was 93% charged.

This was the initial setup and I restarted the setup and it eventually went through OK.

I just don't like it when a device tells me something that is untrue, like today when I apparently rode a bike outdoors (twice) even though I never went outside the front gate.
