I used to own the Fitbit Ionic, which for all intents and purposes seemed fairly accurate. After the recall I got a Fitbit Sense which does not seem to be as accurate as the Ionic was. It gives me way too many floors than I actually get in a day, received the Lighthouse 50 floors in a day trophy the other day and had to laugh. The Sense also doesn't seem to auto recognize my workouts like my Ionic did. The Sense does seem to be accurate in other areas though, step count, miles walked, heart rate, sleep etc. Now the reason I got the Sense is because it seemed to have just as many features as my Ionic but I don't really need a Smartwatch, I need an accurate Fitness Tracker with built in GPS. So my question is are some of the other Fitbit products who main purpose is fitness tracking more accurate? Just weighing my options here as my mine goal for owning oneof these devices is to improve my fitness so I want it to be as accurate as possible.

Hi @fpetruccelli - you may find some success with a Versa 2, unless you need other specific functions, it's heart rate is reasonably accurate and is generally reliable..

@fpetruccelli needs a GPS so Versa 2 is not suitable. I had the same need and I successfully moved to Polar.

Nothing but the time is accurate on the Sense! Jog in place; get 3 flights of stairs. Do a grueling workout and the HR monitor says 80. Get reminders to move 50 percent of the time. Best option is return it and go with another manufacturer. I had the Charge and Charge 2 and they were outstanding. Got a 50% off and opted for the Sense (Charge 5 wasn’t included). The first 6 months weren’t to bad. Regretted ever since.

Let me elaborate a bit more my post as it was a little too poor.
It appears that @fpetruccelli needs a device with GPS and good HR. Coming from Ionic the only Fitbit devices that have GPS are now Charge 5, Sense 2 and Versa 4.
Charge 5 has a very poor GPS so it is out of question (you can see many reports about it in this forum) while Sense 2 and Versa 4 inherited the terrible HR sensor from the previous generation of Fitbit smartwatches (removing features but that's another story).
Therefore unfortunately no Fibit can be suitable for the purpose, better to move to other brands that are more fitess/exercise oriented. I went to Polar, other good choices are Suunto, Coros and Garmin (that have a good history).
