Are we able to get phone calls and texts now? I was told that the software update would be late 2020. Thanks

@deamo5333 yes, you should be able:

  1. to receive phone calls on your wrist (answer and talk), you need to set up on-wrist calls within your fitbit app. Please open the app, tap on your profile picture and tap on Sense. Follow the instructions from this help article.
  2. if you set up Google Assistant on your Sense, you should be able to ask the assistant to initiate the phone call as well (initiate only - no call on the wrist using microphone)
  3. if you reside in US or your Google Assistant location is set up to US, you should be able to ask the assistant to send text or whatsapp message for you
  4. to read a message on your sense i.e. to display a message body, you will need to make sure that you have enabled the preview of the messages in the Settings on your Samsung. This is common for Samsungs as by default they hide message content in your notification bar. Fitbit can read only what's visible in the notification centre.
  5. if you have issues getting notifications, make sure you have enabled them in the Fitbit mobile app. Tap on your profile picture, sense and notifications. Make sure you have selected all the apps you want to receive the notifications from. There you can also set up quick replies.

Good luck!

Hi, it works fine, here's how

In the phone Fitbit App

Click on profile photo [top left]

Device photo [middle left]

Notifications

And verify the top 4 items are correctly defined.

Also

App notifications

and select any other apps you want to hear from.

If you use Google Assistant, that works great too on the watch.

Hello @deamo5333 Welcome to the Community Forums! @Guy_ Thanks for the input!

To take advantage of the features of your Sense like call and text notifications, you must install the Fitbit App on a compatible mobile device. For a list of compatible devices, please go here: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

To setup notifications, I recommend taking a look at this help article: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?

Keep me posted.

@deamo5333 this should still work. Enable Sense controls. Your tracker becomes a Bluetooth headphone.
