Battery draining in 18 hours. No snore detect or spo2 tracker turned on

I bought a sense second hand recently. I can see it was originally activated December 21, so i know it's fairly new. On receiving it i reset the device and then linked it to my account and app as it wouldn't locate the sense at all before that. The firmware seem to be up to date but the app is constantly telling me a firmware update should be done but this fails everytime at around 70%. The watch works and is syncing with my phone but the battery life is so poor. It eats 60% through the night with no sound or SpO2 detection on. Im charging it when i get up and then charging it again before bed to ensure it stays on through the night.

Can someone help. Ive gone through so many diagnostic steps advertised and nothign seems to help. Should i jump to another factory reset or am i basically stuck with a pointless device because ic hose to go second hand 😞

Hi @Domooo88 just wondering if you bought this on eBay or some place with a return policy. Sometimes people sell their unwanted devices knowing there are problems with it. Not all second hand devices have issues, but it seems the one you bought does.

First, welcome to the Fitbit community.

That's definitely very fast drain overnight. Even having all the settings you have off wouldn't drain it that quick. I'm assuming you also have always-on display off and at night time you turn on Sleep Mode. To me it's seems like it's a connection drain. Do you happen to have it connected with Sense connect and is it stuck being connected continuously when not on a phone call or controlling music? You can tell by looking at your Bluetooth symbol and seeing a dot to the right of the B.

Yeh it's tough. The seller has no returns policy to answer the first question.

I'll try a night with Bluetooth off to try and rule it out.

I had to turn AOD off. I have it set to dim etc as well. Really frustrating. I wonder if the fact it's stuck with this phantom firmware update is causing an issue?

If this doesn't work should I reset it?

Brightness dim, screen wake motion and button, always on display off, snore & noise detection off, SpO2 on.

These settings just got me a whole 4 days off the charger.

Turning off the bluetooth took it from 60% night usage to 40% (approx) definite improvement but don't think its the final answer sadly. with bluetooth turned off it might take it from 18 hours to 24 hours
