Bluetooth Connected to wrong IOS device

I have a Fitbit Sense syncing to my iPhone and get notifications as normal. However, when I use my iPad, the Fitbit Sense disconnects from iPhone and connects to iPad instead preventing the normal sync and notifications.

The Fitbit Sense isn’t paired to my iPad and there is no ‘i’ next to connection in Bluetooth settings allowing me to disconnect and forget device. I cannot switch off Bluetooth on iPad as I’m using AirPods.

I suppose it’s similar to feature where my AirPods switch between iPhone and iPad automatically depending on which one I pick up.
