The Sense buttons on display are not working, on screen wake and I want to change from button only to motion and button.

I worked it out. Sleep mode was on
The buttons don't work when the sleep mode is on.

Thank you for sharing that you were able to resolve the problem by disabling the Sleep Mode feature. In addition to what you mentioned, keep in mind that when the Sleep Mode feature is On:
- Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders are muted.
- The screen's brightness is set to dim.
- The Always-On Display clock face is turned off.
- The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist.
- The sleep mode icon illuminates in quick settings.
