Calorie Adjustment discrepency on MFP

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi, I just bought a Fitbit Sense last week. I noticed that yesterday Fitbit logged 8,041 steps and made a calorie adjustment in MFP of 282 calories. The odd part is that today, I only have 3,618 steps so far, but the Fitbit calorie adjustment is already 342, a higher adjustment than when I had twice today's current number of steps yesterday. How is that possible? I haven't done any exercise today.

Hi, @Nillyfresh, welcome to the community, May I suggest you review your setting in the online dashboard. In log food, you will see a tile "Food Plan" with a little blue gear wheel icon, click this to see -

Change your Daily Calorie Estimate Setting

  •  Personalized
  •  Sedentary
  • Uses your past activity history to estimate your calorie burn for the day and increases or decreases if you're more or less active than usual.

Try changing the setting to "personalised" for a more accurate assessment. As the algorithm learns your daily habits it will become more accurate.

Let us know how you get on.

Cheers
