@Sharz1 Pace is different than Speed as it states the time you need to walk/run one km rather than the km you walk/run in one hour.

In your specific case you are taking 10 minutes and 56 seconds to walk one kilometer that is equivalent to approx 5.5km/h (you can find a calculator at this link)

@Sharz1 On your app, tap the icon on the top left-hand corner (which is your profile pic), then scroll down to 'App Setting", tap on it and you will see "Units", tap on it, and change to metric.

If you are using your computer, go to your Fitbit Dashboard, tap the gear on the top right-hand corner, you will see "settings", tap on it, and it will bring you to your "Personal Info", scroll down to "units", tap on it and you can now make changes to metric.

This is incorrect. All measurements are set to metric however under exercise it shows pace as imperial, or am I not understanding what pace is? Unfortunately I can’t load a screenshot to show you what I mean but for examples it shows lap 1 - 1 km then pace 10’56”. Can someone explain how to read it?

Awesome, very helpful I hadn’t no idea. This is great to know and I can see ow I can challenge it now whereas I couldn’t work out what it was telling me previously. Thank you.

Sorry I should apologise as I rushed my reply you advised quite well how to change units from metric to imperial and visa Versa etc but it didn’t help my question. I also didn’t know what pace meant which was explained below by Giampi71. Thankyou for attempting to answer my query.

Hi,

Is there a way to show my speed instead of my pace? I'm not used to work with pace and like it to display my speed so not how many min per km but how many km per hour.

Hello @Tibirius and welcome to the Help forum.  I'm sorry, but you can't change to speed.  Fitbit has no plans to change this.  My advice is learn a few quick conversions to fit your speed/pace goal.  For example, an 8'00" pace is 7.50 kph.  Running pace conversion chart

Hello LZeeW,

thanks for the info, I know runner are used to the pace thing, but I'm a hiker and so for me the speed/pace is not that important but still I would have been easier to see it as speed. and as a programmer I don't understand why they don't offer the option it is just a simple calculation one  I expect the watch is more than powerful enough to do.

So I hoop they still get this feature in one of the update. but I'll not count on it.

And I'll make me a conversion chart for my speeds as walking at 7 kph is already very fast.

@Tibirius   Yes, 7 kph is fast for a hiker.  I chose that chart because of its simplicity.  It isn't designed for hiking speeds.  There are online speed to pace conversion calculators.  You can choose one and plug in speeds to meet your needs.

Don't count on any update changing this.  Fitbit uses the Feature Suggestion forum for requests like this.  Every time users ask for this, the answer is Not Currently Planned.  Users have been asking for this feature since the exercise app was released.

I have the same problem as Sharz1: even though I have set the Settings to metric, and it works fine in other sections of the App, the Exercise section still shows the pace in Imperial. Any suggestion on how to fix it? Thanks!

Ayayayay.... I must be asleep still... only now I finally understood that it is not imperial lenght but time.... doh!

I'm new here so I dont know how to delete this post. Sorry!
