I've seen this question in the past about older models, but not yet about the Sense: Is it possible to link both my new Sense (arriving today) and my current Versato my Fitbit account so that I can switch between them, or is it still a case of "only one device per account"?

If it is considered a smart device then no you cannot.
Basically this means you may have 1 newer device and 1 device from blaze/charge 2 or below.

that does not help when we have two of the same fitbit, but only one phone. What are we to do?

Hello @Teacher-321 and welcome to the Help forums. Here's the solution. You can only have one copy of the Fitbit app on your phone. When two users share a phone for syncing, each user sets up an account with their own email account. One user logs out. Then the other user can log in.

@Teacher-3212 Accounts work quite well.
However it will be necessary to reconnect Google Assistant each you log back in [if you want to use it].
