I see where the sense can stream music from pandora but that requires a device with an internet connection, and if you are doing a run you really don't want to lug around your phone. Does the Sense or Versa provide the ability to store music that I can then stream to my Bluetooth headphones?

This the current page in the user manual in the fit bit app. Written to mislead I think as it says Spotify is supported
I already pay for Spotify, I'm not going to pay for another service to listen offline when I get that already. Why not offer the same functionality?

It is so frustrating for me to carry my phone when running esp when I have huge Iphone 11 pro Max. What's the point of in built GPS? So dumb! paying 329$ plus tax and then you want us to pay extra 10$ for Fitbit premium is another dumb idea. Sorry I was a huge fan of Fitbit but I am moving to Apple watch SE.

The feature was removed from the versa 2 ! It was removed it because of exclusivity deals with other music streaming services because how dare a paying customer put music they already bought on their product with they already bought.

It appears it is quite unanimous that not having the downloadable ability of our own music on the Fitbit Sense is a showstopper. We have shared our comments with Fitbit. Many of us are long-term owners of Fitbits and are loyal customers, so it is time for Fitbit to listen to our feedback and make the necessary changes to keep us as loyal customers.
The next step is to wait to see what Fitbit’s response is to our comments. If they do not respond, well, that is a statement on its own. And just saying that “...we listen to our customer…” isn’t enough; we all want to see some action and then make the change that would allow us to download our own music onto the Sense.
I’m going to wait a bit and see what their feedback is. If they don’t plan on making the changes, then we can widen our complaints to many more sites than just this forum, to warn prospective customers not to buy the newest Fit watches if they want to download music.
Meanwhile, it appears they will be losing sales – and worse – their loyalty as we decide not to buy their newest, most expensive watches or return the one’s we already received.
Thanks, everyone for all your honesty and for your input.
Let us hope Fitbit does right by their customers and make the appropriate updates to allow us to download our own music.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I get that it's business but you can't take away a fundamental feature. Pretty close to switching to the Apple Watch right now after having spent $499 SGD on the Sense.
GPS tracking is also so much more inaccurate than my iPhone 11 Pro Max GPS. Why is there no Dynamic GPS on this thing??

Completely agree. I would have expected the Sense to have increased offline storage (and link to Spotify), not gone backwards. That's a real set back. I also find the ionics Bluetooth signal has weakened over time and was hoping the sense would be more robust.

Yeah. I loved the Ionic but the built in GPS would routinely miss huge chunks of my rides.
Versa 2 was much more reliable piggy backing GPS off the phone.

A quick note, if you have Spotify Premium you can control songs playing on another device, but you still cannot download tacks to the Sense from Spotify. You can only do that if you have Deezer or (in regions where it's available) Pandora.
I have yet to meet a person who uses Deezer or Pandora.

My GPS has been good on ionic ironically 🙂 I just wish I could have my cake and eat it. A watch that is great at health tracking, GPS and stores music. We can't be far off that dream now, can we?

Utterly ridiculous not to have off line music storage on a £299 so called 'Smart' watch!

is this a software issue or is there no built in hard-drive space?

There's 2.5GB memory on the device. Not sure how much the software takes up.

@LizzyFitbit : The lack of support for Spotify offline caused me to buy Garmin (which does have spotify offline). I really wanted to get a Fitbit, which I like in every other way more. So, please consider this a +1 for Spotify offline support.

Wow!? Been waiting for the versa 3 for so long and now I found out the versa 3 don't have offline music storage, what the point of having a GPS when you still need your phone to play music? Who the genius that thought it would be good idea to remove the music storage should be fired.
---------------------------------
No she should cancel it, what a fail I'm going to cancel my order too I was going to buy the sense but now I'm going to cancel it because of the lack of music storage, I listen to local music and my own so Spotify or Pandora is out of the question plus what's the point of GPS when you still need your phone for music?!

I had the versa 2 and after a lot...I.mean a LOT of faffing about managed to get a few of my walking tunes on it but it was so unreliable as a choonage player i just plain gave up. I was hoping the sense would be better so was quite surprised they ditched the idea altogether. I have invested in mp3 players instead. I won't pay more, on top of a quite expensive watch that in canada doesn't even get everything on it the us does, to then be gouged a premium for a music service that does not fully cover my musical tastes anyway.

It seems that it's not a simple matter to check a demo device to see if it can hold music on board!

The problem is, the "idea" already existed on an earlier model and it was removed. No one is asking for some new feature, it should never have been removed in the first place.

I hate how the answer from Fitbit always is well there is Deezer and Pandora. We already know that but we don't have a subscription to either of those apps and don't want to pay an additional $10 a month when we already have a music subscription to one of the other way more popular music stream services. Very few people use Deezer or Pandora. Very bad mistake on FitBit part, I bet the loss of customers and sales of the device will be greater than the kickback they get from Deezer / Pandora. So disappointing that Fit Bit was so close to coming out with the perfect Smart Watch 😞

Agree with MrNevmon. This kind of behavior is a mistake. Why should we get a new account when most people already have a music service. Gets too much money paying both the Fitbit premium and a new music service. I seriously considered to buy a Fitbit but I have not done so yet because of this. Think Ill wait to see what Google will offer when they have bought Fitbit. Maybe a good deal with both Fitbit premium and YT music?
