Can the Spotify App be made to work on a Sense?

Is there something wrong with the installation or setup, or is this how the Fitbit Spotify App works?

• The Fitbit Spotify App can't start the Spotify App on the phone, but Music Controls or Google Assistant can.
• Spotify on the phone can download files to the phone for offline use but the Fitbit Spotify App can't play them unless there is an internet connection.
• If there is no Internet connection the Fitbit Spotify App reports a false Bluetooth not in range error, but Music Controls can play the files.
• the Fitbit Spotify App has no volume control.
• there seems no way to get the phone downloaded files to the Sense for playing offline or without a phone.

Or is this because Spotify on Fitbit doesn't mention Sense or Versa 3?

In which case why does it install?

I recently found out that it doesn't work unless you have a Premium account with Spotify.

True, you can't use Spotify Controls at all on the watch without a Spotify premium account but it is not the point.

It turns out that Music controls works better than Spotify Controls in many ways, so you don't even need a Spotify premium account or the Spotify Controls app at all.
