Does anyone else feel like we were lied to?

I ONLY wanted this watch for ECG features, which not only is unavailable, but fitbit themselves seems to have abandoned canadians on this issue.

I also cannot answer a call on my watch, and have my bluetooth earbuds in and send the call to them. Either I answer it on the phone, or on the watch - not on my earbuds which I purchased to use hands free.

My IONIC was 100% better in this regard.

does anyone have solutions to these problems?

Fitbit released the Sense before it was approved for ECG usage anywhere and this was public knowledge. They applied for ECG approval to Health Canada last year but Health Canada are the ones holding it up, not Fitbit. Granted this doesn't lessen your pain, but at least you know the cause of the delay. The same thing happened with Apple - ECG approved in the US sooner than in Canada. I expect approval is imminent but who knows.

I agree with you, very disappointed about both issues you pointed out. I am Canadian. I was looking forward to the ECG and the phone option does not work.Everything else works well.

Not for me!

I can't send audio to my bluetooth headphones when answering on the watch,
the watch doesn't give any updates at all without having the fitbit app
open all the time, and this goes for voice replies too.

My ionic was fantastic.

The sense is a hunk of garbage

My phone option does work at all. I can’t respond to messages when they do
show up on the watch but most times they don’t show up on my phone. I did
love my Versa 2...
The other features work. Well no ECG...

I bought it in Canada and was well aware that the ECG was not yet available and there was no ETA.  I think that was clear from the reviews I read and I never saw anything from Fitbit that suggested otherwise.

So, I do not agree that we were "lied to".

I do have issues with my Sense's sync'ing, but am hopeful with today's announcement about Google completing their purchase of Fitbit that they will now have the resources to address all these issues.   Fitbit was dying - glad to see them given a new shot of life.

Fitbit needs permission from the Canadian government before ECG may be enabled.

The adverts never said that this option was released world wide.

Do this for a workaround - https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Sense/Ecg-available-on-canada/td-p/4519837

Canadian here who is able to use the ECG app by using this workaround.
