Countdown timer on Sense won't exceed 99 min

Dear Ftibit,

 

I would really appreciate the timer function to extend 99mins. For me it is medication related, but I can imagine people have other functions for it in example for mealtimes, or just to time your washing machine..? I have to take my pills every 3:15:00... I bought a Fitbit Sense, and I find this so frustrating that I am thinking about returning it. It was supposed to be a smartwatch, but this isn’t very smart to me.

 

Ofcourse I can set a timer voor 00:97:30, and when it rings I set it again. But it isn’t very practical, plus it easier to forget to set it again or if it is the second round of the first.

 

Besides that, there are some timer apps, but they can’t remind me while being in the background so it’s useless. 

I tried installing an app on my phone which will do the trick of sending me a notification, but won’t do that when my phone is on Do Not Disturb. Besides, my phone needs to be close, something I can’t do when I’m at work. 

 

If you really want the Sense to give me less stress, please just add this function. It seems like such an easy thing to do... Imagine all the possibilities for so many people...

 

It would mean the world to me and it will guarantee me staying a FitBit user for many years. Otherwise I guess an Apple Watch is more suitable for me, because it does have this function built in. 

Please just change the 99min 59sec to 00:00:00 and give us a little more freedom.

I understand your concern and how helpful it'd be for you to set the countdown timer to more than 99 minutes. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. Please know that Fitbit is always working on our products to improve them and our members input is a big part of that process. The best place to bring new ideas that you wish to see in the future is the Feature Suggestions board which is often reviewed by our team. I took the liberty and found this suggestion, so please add your vote as the more votes an idea receives, the better chance it has of getting the attention of the developers.
