Hello,
Did anyone manage to get his $50 compensation? After registering and creating a Payoneer account as requested, I haven't heard from Google for several weeks.

Nope. Made this payoneer account a month ago and nothing. I have emailed them twice to follow up and keep getting the 5-14 day line. I don't expect to get it anytime soon if at all.

I just want my watch to work correctly again or refund some of my membership money.

I finally received a refund of 50 USD today ($71 CAD). I'm going to delete my payoneer account now that it's done.

I qualified but in no way felt comfortable giving some random company my banking info. My Fitbit IONIC was recalled a few years back and was offered multiple choices including a 300 USD gift card which I chose
I gave the suggestion of giving google credits which I could always use. nope

Got the advisory from Google and my Sense froze. Updated successfully. Applied for compensation by creating a Payoneer account on Feb 5. Received the $50 March 5. Deleted the Payoneer account immediately - never needed it before and don't expect to ever need it again; certainly won't have the $2000 in annual transactions to avoid their fee. Also, the update significantly reduced battery life as expected which is the reason for the compensation. They did not mention that it would also interfere with the step count function. It seems to get sorted out later in the day, but I was surprised to be told that my daily morning walk of about 7000 steps was suddenly getting the 10000 step notification plus a random number much larger than that - 19000+ steps once, 13000+ another time. Annoying to have a perfectly functioning device being ruined this way. Way out of warranty, so no joy there. Ah well. May have to look at other brands when this one finally bites the dust.

Did you have to pay the $29.99 account fee to Payoneer?

No, I got the $50 about 2-3 weeks ago and deleted the account immediately

You only pay the account fee if you keep it for a year. Since this is the first time I used Payoneer and don't foresee any further use for it, I deleted the account after receiving payment from Google. It looks like Payoneer is a relatively inexpensive way to pay multiple recipients, and seems to be used by a number of reputable companies for this and other purposes. No problems so far. Except that my fitbit battery has to be charged more frequently, likely reducing its lifespan.
