Disabling whatsapp message notifications and still receive whatsapp calls - Fitbit Sense

Hi all,

I generally don't prefer getting whatsapp message notifications on my phone/fitbit. But I do want to get alerted on my fitbit when I get a whatsapp call. Is it possible to disable text notifications but enable phone calls for my fitbit sense?

Hi @shashacfc.

I don't believe it is possible as there unfortunately isn't that level of notification granulation on the Fitbit. The only option right now would be to disable the chat notifications channel on your phone (this applies to Android, I'm not sure if iOS has this leval of control) and leave only the call channel active. Obviously this would mean you also wouldn't get the chat notifications on your phone either. I doubt this is what you are looking for.

In the Fitbit app, select your sense, then scroll down to notifications, I can separately select to receive text, phone call, and email notifications, and which apps within each of those categories.

Unfortunately, disabling text messages for whatsapp doesn't seem to work as I still get text notifications. I think the "App notifications" overrides this setting.

Thanks for confirming! It would be good to have more granularity here (maybe a feature request?). Disabling all text messages on my fitbit app doesn't seem to work as I still get whatsapp message notifications.
