After digging through the Fitbit community website it appears this isn't a new issue but since all other examples I could find (i.e. Previous Thread on Issue with Flex and App) were from other trackers and earlier app versions I wanted to add here since it was showing incorrectly on my Sense also. After three days of using my Sense my distance app on the Today tile started tracking as if my 6 mile distance goal was 9.656 miles (6 miles=9.656 kilometers). When you click into the app view specific for distance the goal line on the graph shows correctly at 6 miles. This discrepancy also shows on my Sense goals. I used the work around mentioned in the link reference previously where I made my goal 3.72 miles (3.72 miles=6 kilometers) so all of my goals would show as complete at the correct level of activity. This seems like it could be a simple fix but since it seems to have persisted across multiple trackers I assume it is a bug in the app. Let me know if there is any other info I could share to help resolve this issue for myself and others.

Hi. I've had this issue for some time now and its really annoying. Thanks for your post. I have logged in, but cannot seem to find where to change the goal in my Fitbit account on the computer.

I did find it, after several hours of frustration. I have changed the distance goal online to match that on my app, but I still don't have any luck getting the "completion" circle on my app. My goal is set to 8.1 km. On days where I walk at least this distance, the distance circle should be complete. I walked over 12 km for several days in a row, and in the detailed weekly screen, this shows as being complete (the bar graph line shows the correct 8.1 km with the bars exceeding the distance), but the circles on my main screen are incomplete. It still seems to be confusing km and miles. Any advice?

So all of a sudden my Laptop dashboard converted mt 7.77 miles goal to kilometers or 12.5 and that 12.5 shows up on the dashboard as 12.5 miles. I change it to 7.77 again but after a refresh of the page it reverts back to 12.5 miles (which is really 12.5 kilometers = 7.77 miles). All phones and tablet show 7.77 miles but those dashboard are showing 12.5 as a goal. My Fitbit watch Versa 2 shows that the goal is 12.5 miles instead of 7.77.
Something happen with Fitbit the last week or so?? The phones and tablet dashboard are set to that same 12.5 miles.
No matter what I change the mile to the 12.5 miles always comes back.
So watch is wrong and dashboard is wrong.

On the Laptop Dashboard I I did 4.82 Kilometers to get 7.77 miles but the Fitbit app changes **ahem** back to 12.5 (Kilometers) which equal 7.77 miles which means Fitbit has another application problem with this. So it clearly says MILES and I plug in 7.77 and after a refresh of the page the miles change to 12.5 miles???

I recently discovered this problem as well.
As a non-USian, I don't use miles and I have no idea how they work. Yet this device and system has forced me to adapt for a stupid system when metric kilometres are so much easier.
Dear Fitbit, fix this so I can use the only system I know and that makes sense.
I'm following this thread in hopes a solution that doesn't involve a workaround (either converting KM into miles or logging in to a computer) is found.

Same here! It's been like this for over a year now & no help from FitBit.
