Excuse me, but how loud do I snore?

My sense typically shows ~35 dBA background noise but it has snoring events that flatline above the 90 dBA level. How is that even possible?

  • lawnmower 95 dB
  • electric drill 95 dB
  • hairdryer 60 to 95 dB
  • garbage disposal 70 to 95 dB
  • food mixer or blender 80 to 90 dB

So that was your snoring that I heard !

If a person experiences an average of 85 dB or above for eight hours, Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) says that employers have to provide employees with ear protection. So there’s that.

<sigh> I was hoping for “oh yeah, everyone gets that reading” or maybe “relax, divide by ten, it’s given in the wrong precision." So, I guess I can count on staying single, given that someone would be sleeping next to a lawn mower 😞

So you can see if he should count on staying stay single? 😱  kidding - I know you meant a screen shot of snoring event.

(Is that going to get me in trouble?)

Here's a typical snore report (loudness-wise):

(I had a problem with snore reports not showing up - maybe something somewhere was updating - they show up fine now)

looks like I had a similar event but only once.
Is there any chance there was ambient noise?

(Sleep apnea where you woke yourself up with a snort or gasp)

It's hard to tell how long these last but I have from 1-5 basically every night. I do wake with snorts sometimes (usually when I'm napping), but the events on the charts don't look momentary. The room is dark and quiet so it really can't be ambient noise. I'm not really worried about it I just question how accurate that noise level is. On the screenshot I posted, it said I snored 39 minutes. I tried downloading data one time, but the data is clearly meant to be consumed by an application that understands it structure. So, pretty useless to just try and 'read.' It would be nice to be able to expand (zoom in) the timeline.
