Hi All,
After having an Ionic for years, I just upgraded to a sense. The thing I was most excited about was being able to get alerts for heart rate zones while exercising, so I don't have to constantly stare at my write. However, whenever I go to an exercise (i.e. treadmill, walk, workout) and scroll down to toggle on heart rate alerts, the option to toggle it on is greyed out. I have tried everything, and I can't seem to make this feature available. Any ideas for what might be going on? (I restarted the watch, updated my app, turned on zone notifications in settings etc). Thank you in advance for your help!

My "Heart Zone Notifications" is grey; I move the slider button to the right and it changes from "Off" to "On" and the text changes from grey to white.

Hi JohnnyRow,
Thanks, it actually won't let me move the slider button -- I'm trying to troubleshoot why that might be the case.

My Charge 5 has been doing that some times. I clicked into and out of Notifications without changing anything and the heart rate function became accessible again. I hope that works for you.

But the original poster said it was greyed out. That's the point: the toggle is not available.

You clicked into Notifications in your phone app?

Yup tried all the places to toggle this on, seems like it might just be defective on my watch

Mine was working fine until a few days ago. Not sure what I did! I did create some custom settings for heart rate max, but I tried reversing that and it didn't have any impact. If you figure it out, let me know. I'll do the same.

So I did finally figure out what was going on and fixed this. If you have custom heart rate zones set up, the option to buzz or vibrate as you move through zones is disabled. In my case, I wanted the option (at least) to turn the vibration notification on but the toggle on/off was greyed out. Once I removed my custom heart rate zones, (unchecked the boxes in the custom zone set up), the toggle reappeared and the greyed out was no longer a problem. I did have to "pull down" and trigger a sync to get the watch to recognize this change from the app.
