I've had my Fitbit Sense for about 2 weeks now. I have ran on the treadmill twice and HR seems fairly accurate when compared to what my Ionic would measure. It was slightly lower, but fairly close overall.
Today I did my first weightlifting session with my Sense. It was extremely inaccurate when tracking my HR. My HR was in the 70s-80s most of the time and only got to 104 bpm as a max. I know my HR was at least up to 170 bpm when doing leg/compound work, but I'd by huffing and puffing after my set and see a HR of 79bpm. Wow. Super inaccurate. It was this way throughout my workout - again, staying in the 70-80 bpm range the entire time. It should have been at least 60-70 bpm higher for much of my workout. If this is the way Sense measures HR while lifting then it is useless.
Is there any fix for this? My Ionic wasn't awesome at measuring HR when weightlifting, but it was WAY better than the Sense was today.

It's a known issue and Fitbit is unable to fix it "in the immediate future." See the official statement here:
