[FIXED] Oops, looks like there's no internet connection

I'm incensed. I had a perfectly good Blaze, except that the battery was slowly dying and let's face it, it's kinda nice to get all kinds of goodies in todays day and age (skin temperature, anyone?).

It took 1.5 hours to update the Sense when I got it. Signed up for "premium" trial. But I can't do ANYTHING with the **ahem** thing. Every single set up page says OPPS, LOOKS LIKE THERE'S NO INTERNET CONNECTION.

But there is. My phone has multiple connections. I am NOT using an adblocker on my phone, nor was I piped through VPN. Even on LTE it said OOPS NO INTERNET.

I went into WIFI SETTINGS to make sure that I had something connected there, but it doesn't seem to want to KEEP a connection... Do I even need that to change a watch face or set up notifications from my phone?

(At least the find my phone feature works).

Anyway, advice? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software, the phone, my life.

ETA: Husband installed **ahem** on my phone. Did not know. Good times.

Hi @TPCest2009. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, as well for the steps tried on your own to get the Premium trial. While I'm glad this issue got fixed, I'm sorry that you've gone through this situation with your new Sense. This isn't the type of experience that we want you to have and if you need anything else from me, don't hesitate to let me know so I can help you out.

I'll be around, keep me posted.

Yes, this happens to me too, periodically, even though I have an internet connection that the other 200 apps on my phone manage to use without difficulty. It’s a Fitbit bug. Another one.

Hi @David_J. It's good to see you in this thread.

Thanks for joining this thread and sharing your feedback about the Sense. I'm sorry that you're having a similar issue and just to confirm, are you getting the same error when signing up for the Premium trial? If not, please provide me with more details about this issue and the steps that you've tried so far so I can investigate on my end.

I'll look forward to your response.

@LizzyFitbitNo, in my case it has been adding an new app or watch face. Not every time and it goes away after retrying. I use a VPN on my phone most of the time but the Fitbit app is excluded from my adblocker and VPN - it doesn't work at all well if I send it through the adblocker and VPN.

Hi @David_J. It's great to see you.

Thanks for getting back with more details about this situation. While this is odd, please try syncing your watch with a different internet connection or on another network so you can install a new app or clock face on your Sense. You may also wish to contact your VPN provider to explain that you've had a difficult experience connecting to Fitbit.

If you need anything else, let me know.

Hi,

What is **ahem**?

I can not get this darn thing to work correctly to save my life. 😞

The Sense Controls will not stay connected to my blue tooth.  Yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything. Still nothing.

It will connect during setup to my WIFI but will not stay connected.  Every time I try and do anything it will give me an error stating "Oops, looks like there's no internet connection.  I would really hate to take this back but if I can't get this resolved there is no need to keep it.

Very sad

Welcome on board, @Tmichelle67.

Thanks for joining this thread and taking the time to work on this matter prior to posting. I see your point of view and I'm sorry you're having this experience with your Sense. Before anything else, let me explain the Sense Controls will automatically reconnect as soon as you receive a phone call. However, it's expected to see them as "Not Connected" in the list of Bluetooth devices on your phone the rest of the time.

That being said, if they're not connecting when receiving a call, I'd recommend trying the troubleshooting steps described in this help article. Monitor its behavior in the next few days and let me know how it goes.

Hi @Tmichelle67  - see no internet connection

The issue is with the phone settings.

Sense controls doesn't stay connected, it connects only when needed and watch WiFi the same.
