Firmware update

Received my new sense today! first plunge under this brand after moving from garmin. My question.. upon setting up the sense there was a firmware update which ultimately failed because of Bluetooth connection. The watch finished setting itself up but I don’t know how to re-run the firmware update. I’m new to the app and the watch and unsure where to go to get it to run it again. I’ve had a click through the menus but can’t see it. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi there. Have you tried the steps at https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2047.htm?

The most relevant section of the instructions is replicated below in case it helps (hyperlnks removed becusae for some reason my browser/fitbit really doesn't want me to include it!).

If you have trouble updating your watch over Wi-Fi, try these steps to resolve the problem.

  1. Make sure your watch is connected to the Wi-Fi network you want to use.
  2. Move your watch closer to your router.
  3. Make sure your router is connected to the internet.
  4. Restart your watch. (Bsaically, hold down the button for more than 10 seconds)
  5. Remove your watch from your Fitbit account.
  6. Remove your watch from the list of Bluetooth devices paired to your phone.
  7. Reconnect your watch to your Fitbit account.
  8. Try again to update your watch.

If the update fails, restart your phone and try again.

I've had to remove and repair various devices from the Fitbit app before, and it usually does the trick!

Best of luck and enjoy your new Sense!
