Fitbit Has Stopped Innovating and Supporting Their Products - Don't Walk Away...Run Towards Garmin

I have been an extremely loyal part of the Fitbit community for over ten years, but I finally called it a day last week.  After trying to get support for the app, my Sense and my Aria, and getting canned replies, I have given up.  Fitbit has deserted Apple users and stopped innovating.  Add in the cost for their "premium" services, it is simply a nightmare.  I have switched to Garmin (specifically the 965) and have not looked back.  This device far, away and easily kicks the @ss of any of the many Fitbit devices I have purchased.  Add in the fact that support and innovation are non-existent and the decision was very easy.  Bye Felicia.

I'm also very disappointed at the support and updates from Fitbit and will not be buying another one. The 965 looks great, but at double the price the Sense was at launch, I'd expect it to be a significant improvement, so I don't feel the comparison is a fair one. I'm really looking for something in the same price bracket. Top features for me are tracking a wider range of exercises, Spotify remote control, and a much longer battery life. The meditation exercises and stress features are of no interest to me whatsoever, but Fitbit seems to be pushing them hard

Totally agree- I'm very disappointed.

Actually, the 965 tracks SIGNIFICANTLY more exercise types than the Fitbit. Also, the fitness insights go way deeper than Fitbit and it won't set you back $75/yr. as Fitbit Premium will.  Yes, that device is expensive, so the 265 may be a better option.  While it is still a little more costly ($50 - $100) than a significantly less robust and reliable Fitbit device, it is much less expensive than the 965.  Also...the battery life is much better on either device.  I can go more than two weeks before charging when disabling some features or five-seven days with all features enabled.  The Garmin also has onboard Spotify (leave your phone at home), both self-guided and planned exercises/routes as well as a wallet feature.  Watch faces are plentiful, data-rich and highly customizable.  On a side note, I have listed my Fitbit on several marketplaces and have dropped the price dramatically - no bites.  No one wants it - it's hot garbage compared to other devices.  (I'm not on commission with Garmin - I'm just really, really fed up, disappointed and angry with Fitbit/Google.

Sounds fantastic. Looking at the full specs for the 265 really opened my eyes to how much I'm missing out on with my Fitbit. More customization is important for me as well, so it's great to hear the Garmins excel in this area as well. Watch faces on Fitbit aren't anything to write home about. Doubling the battery life would be incredibly useful, as would having music storage on device, full Spotify control and full GPS route planning. I would assume the step counting accuracy is leagues ahead of Fitbit as well, but then it would be hard to do any worse!
