Fitbit Pay on Sense Declining on Tap

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So I've been using my fitbit tap pay for YEARS and all of a sudden when the app updated a week or two or so ago it no longer works, it actually shows as a payment decline. I used it outside a gas station at the pump and it worked just fine and went in to buy a soda and it declined (it had a week earlier but I thought it was a system fluke). Just went to try again at the soda machine at work and it declined again...

And no, it's not the card...

Anyone else having this issue? No problems until the latest app update.

Thanks, Stacey

not exactly same issue but I cannot add my cc, since I had to remove my old one due to expired card. keeps saying 403 forbidden and some token error. seems like Google/fitbit broke everything related to Fitbit pay.

That's the same error I'm getting now after following fitbits instructions for my card 😞

Update:

I just got an email about this 13 minutes ago, after this was posted, saying that due to some update Visa cards might not work and to add them back to your wallet... Well I removed the old card and went to add it back and now it's giving me a forbidden error and saying it's not a supported card (Chase Visa) even though it's on the list as a supported card... This last update needs to be reversed. Too many issues. I only have this for tap pay and if it's not going to work then I have no reason to keep using fitbit.

Yep - my Visa stopped working several days ago -- got declined with message that it was expired.  Today I got an email saying my card would be removed because it is expired (it is not).  Per instructions in the email, I removed the card.  Upon trying to add, I got "403 Forbidden."  The app just keeps getting worse.  Is this their way of trying to force us to migrate to Google Pay?

I have the same issue.....I cannot even get my wallet set back up.  Still use same visa card, will not recognize my pin even tho I use it to log into the watch.  It's very frustrating............and I see no resolution.  Was just on call with Fitbit team.....no resolution in sight.

Same problem. Got the email saying "Your Visa card will be removed from Fitbit Pay", along with instructions on how to re-add the card.

Waited for the card to be deleted from Fitbit Pay and followed the instructions in the email to add the same card again. When I add the card, the error says "Invalid entry. Please check your input and try again"

My bank still supports Fitbit Play and it's the same card I have been using for the last 2 years.

I would be happy to move to google pay, but I can't see that as an option on the Sense.

Google Pay is foolproof.....I wish there was a way to enable on Fitbit.  I still cannot even get my wallet set to accept the card I have used for years.  So frustrating.

Same problem here but with MasterCard.  For me, ever since January 1.  I contacted Support.  They said they were "aware" of the problem.  I had read VISA was an issue.  I can report that MasterCard doesn't work and American Express doesn't work.  I removed my Mastercard and attempted to add back but all I get is an error.  I didn't remove my American Express but attempted to use and it was "declined" (same as the others).

Seemingly Fitbit Pay is no longer supported on Sense.  Fitbit closed my inquiry without resolution.  Are they working on it?  Doubtful.

My virtual card was mysterious removed from my Sense, interesting thing got a email from my bank that the virtual card had expired and I had to re add it... But the email was from my bank but referred to Google Pay, even though on the Fitbit app the Sense mentions Fitbit Pay. Added my virtual card back and my bank states I am using Google Pay on the Sense, so seems they are changing the backend to Google Pay, but the app only states Fitbit Pay. So Your Bank May Vary...

I was told.by tech support that when I updated Fitbit to 4.08 the visa Fitbit pay issue would be resolved. I still cannot add my Visa card and get it to work properly.
